MMAmania.com has confirmed that Brazilian welterweights Thiago Alves and Paulo Thiago will collide at UFC 107.
The "Pitbull" is looking to get back on the winner circle after he lost his last bout against George St-Pierre at UFC 100 snapping a 7 fight win streak.
Paulo Thiago is in the elite special police force in Brazil and came to the UFC with a 10-0 record. He won his first fight by knock out against Josh Koscheck but then lost his 2nd fight to Jon Fitch, a friend and training partner of Koscheck.
Paulo hasn't had any easy fights since arrivng in the UFC but he knocked out Koscheck so fast in his debut that we couldn't really see what he can do and his fight against Fitch was a classic lay and pray type fight that we were not even paying attention after the first round.
Paulo Thiago is great on the ground and has good strikes but not close to the level of the Pitbull. I think his oonly chance is to win by submission. I see this being another KO on The Pitbull's record. Should be fun to watch.
