Fedor Emelianenko Interested in 4-6 More Fights With Strikeforce

The former best pound for pound fighter in Mixed Martial Arts, Fedor Emelianenko, is not considering retirement any time soon as rumors may have suggested.

"For now M-1 Global works with Strikeforce and we are concentrating on that, the contract is not over yet. So for now we don’t have any interest in the UFC. So far I feel very comfortable fighting, very good with my fighting, and I’m planning of fighting as long as I can physically. As far and I’m concerned we should discuss the possibility of signing another contract for 4-6 fights."

Emelianenko was riding a 10 year, 28 fight win streak which had him as the #1 best pound for pound fighter in the world until his June 26, 2010 loss to Fabricio Werdum under the Strikeforce banner.
